Installation & Quote Policies

These policies explain how quotes, scheduling, equipment, access, diagnostics, payment and warranty concerns are handled. They are practical service terms, not legal advice.

Quote validity

A quote is valid through the date or conditions stated in it. Changes in equipment, location, scope, availability, travel or site conditions may require an updated quote.

Deposits

A deposit may be required for special-order parts, reserved installation time or larger projects. The amount, payment timing and any refund conditions are stated before payment.

Scheduling

An appointment is reserved after the scope, service location, pricing and any required deposit are confirmed. Final pricing is confirmed before scheduling.

Rescheduling

Please provide notice as early as possible. A new appointment depends on availability, equipment timing and suitable weather or workspace conditions.

Cancellations

Any cancellation charge or deposit treatment will be disclosed before the appointment is accepted. Special-order or already-purchased materials may affect the refundable amount.

Travel charges

Travel outside the standard area may be added based on distance, appointment requirements and project scope. Any travel amount is included in the quote before booking.

Drop-off appointments

Drop-off service is by appointment only. Arrival, pickup, key handling and estimated completion details are confirmed before the vehicle, motorcycle or equipment is left.

Customer-supplied equipment

Customer-supplied products are welcome but must be complete, compatible and suitable for the application. Product quality, missing parts and manufacturer support remain the customer's responsibility.

Defective products

Time spent identifying a defective product, removing it or installing a replacement may require additional diagnostic or labor charges. Manufacturer warranty claims are handled under the manufacturer's terms.

Incompatible products

If equipment does not fit, communicate with the vehicle or system, or meet the application requirements, the work may pause until an appropriate replacement or interface is available.

Changes in scope

Customer-requested additions or work discovered outside the original scope are reviewed and priced before continuing whenever practical.

Hidden conditions

Concealed wiring, blocked wall cavities, damaged fasteners, undocumented modifications, corrosion or other hidden conditions can change the approach, timing and price.

Existing damage

Visible concerns should be documented before work begins. TechTuned is not responsible for damage or failures that existed before the agreed installation work.

Existing wiring problems

Unsafe, altered or failed existing wiring may require diagnostics, repair by an appropriate professional or a revised installation plan before work can continue.

Payment timing

Payment timing and accepted method are confirmed with the quote or appointment. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due when the scheduled work is completed and approved.

Manufacturer warranties

Equipment warranties are provided by the manufacturer or seller and are separate from TechTuned's workmanship warranty.

Workmanship warranty

Installation labor performed by TechTuned is covered by the published one-year workmanship warranty, subject to its stated terms and exclusions.

Diagnostic charges

Diagnostics are skilled labor and may be chargeable even when the issue is intermittent, outside the installation scope or caused by customer-supplied equipment. The approach is discussed before diagnostic work begins.

Photo use

Customer addresses, license plates, phone numbers and other private information are not published. Project photos are used publicly only when approved or otherwise appropriate, with identifying details removed when needed.

Privacy and form submissions

Quote and contact information is used to review the project and communicate about the requested service. TechTuned does not sell personal information. Form providers process submissions under their own terms.

Customer-property access

The customer is responsible for safe, timely access to the work area and for securing pets, valuables and unrelated property as needed.

Vehicle access

The customer must provide authorized access to the vehicle, working keys and any security codes or account access needed for the agreed testing and setup.

Final testing and approval

The agreed functions are tested when practical at completion. Customers should review the result and report concerns promptly so they can be evaluated.
